Father Francis Nguyen

Pastor

Fr. Francis began his service as St. Andrew’s sixth pastor on June 28th, 2022. He has served twelve years as pastor of Saints Peter and Paul in Kingfisher, OK. Prior to that he was pastor of Sacred Heart Church in El Reno. He also served as an associate pastor at Christ the King in OKC and at St. John’s in Edmond.
Father came to the US from Vietnam at the age of 16 in the early 80’s as one of the “boat people”, individuals who risked their lives on the open seas to escape communism. He came all by himself, unaccompanied by any family members. Eventually he ended up living in OKC as a member of Our Lady’s Cathedral. Over the years he discerned a calling to priestly ministry and was sent to Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans where he earned a Master of Divinity degree. He was ordained a priest in May of 2002. Subsequently, the archbishop asked him to attend St. Paul’s Pontifical University in Ottawa, Canada where he earned a degree in Canon Law. Since that time, he has served as a member of the Metropolitan Marriage Tribunal.
St. Andrew has been blessed with some wonderful priests through the years. We look forward to many great years with Fr. Francis as Pastor.
